The vessel Noah's Ark, laden with a cargo of timber, of Danzig, Prussia (now Gdansk, Poland), and for Spain was beached at Burra Firth, Unst. The vessel and cargo were subsequently seized on orders from Earl Patrick Stewart, in return for the offer of only nominal payment.
