The James, a sail sloop, laden with a mixed cargo of fish, butter, oil, hides and eleven passengers, of Airth, Stirling, Scotland, from Lerwick and for Leith, Edinburgh, Scotland wrecked on Noss. Only the Captain and one other person were saved.
