The Dove (BF871), a steam fishing drifter of Portknockie, Buckie, Scotland was destroyed by fire in Dales Voe on either this date, or on the same date in 1933 (the available records are in dispute).

The James Evans (GN29),a steel hulled steam fishing trawler of Granton, Edinburgh, Scotland sank in heavy weather at an unrecorded position generally to the SE of the south mainland of Shetland, after having developed a leak the previous day at a position approx 105 miles SE x S of the Bard of Bressay. The crew were landed at Lerwick by another vessel.
