The Treasure, a fishing vessel, registered in Britain, sank at 60.10N, 1.08W, approx in Da Nort Mooth of Lerwick Harbour. There is some suggestion that the wreck may have been subsequently salvaged.

- Massive waves break glass and extinguish light of Fugla Ness Lighthouse, Hamnavoe, having survived unscathed for the previous 44 years.
