The premises at 52 Commercial Street have been by solicitors' offices since 1910, at which time James Galloway was the proprietor. He was followed by Peter Goodlad and later by Peter's son, James M Goodlad who is the present (2007)owner.
The North of Scotland College of Agriculture occupied the upper floor of the building during the 1960's and 1970's as offices and a base for their Agricultural and Crofting Advisors.
