Arthur Buchanan

Arthur Buchanan was a landowner and member of the Parliament of Scotland in 1667 for Orkney and Shetland. He was a supporter of uniting the Scottish and English Parliament, and owned land throughout the West Mainland of Orkney, as well as Shapinsay, most of Stronsay and North Ronaldsay. He was married to Margaret Buxtoun.
