Bressay WW II Memorial is a marble plaque, erected on the right side of the entrance door of Bressay Kirk, similar to the WW I Memorial on the left side.
The Memorial has the inscriptions : To The Glory Of God And In Grateful Memory Of, at the top, and Erected by the people of Bressay - Greater Love Hath No Man Than This, at the bottom. Between is the names of all those from Bressay who lost their lives.
Among the men we find the name of one woman, Catherine Sutherland, who lost her life when Fair Isle South Lighthouse was attacked.
