Shetlopedia - The Shetland Encyclopaedia
I have started to make pages for war memorials, but I have very little information. I don't know when they were erected, who unwailed them, or who the designer is...There must be anyone who knows something I hope !! All little info is useful !
Later I will add some that have names on more than one side, and the trouble is that I'm not sure who is from WWI, and who is from WWII. Some I have no readable pictures from all sides.....please help !!

Oddrun, is that second half of the sentence really correct??? I was told that Shetland (and then Orkney) had the highest losses in relation to their total (native) population in those days ... It's a sad story anyway, but ... Islandhopper 12:53, 26 November 2008 (MST)
