The Celtic (GY 283) a steel hulled steam fishing trawler, built in 1907 at Hull, England, 264 GRT, 39 metre length, 7 metre beam, and registered in Grimsby, Lancashire, England was sunk at a position approx 6 miles W of Sumburgh Head, Dunrossness, on July 25th 1915 by a German submarine. The Cydonia, also of Grimsby, and the Gadwell of Liverpool, both also steam fishing trawlers, were also sunk by the same means on the same day at the same approx position.
