Channerwick lies between Levenwick and Sandwick on the east side of the South Mainland.
Channerwick was one of the areas badly affected by flash floods on 19th September 2003 when large sections of peat from the hillsides were washed down the Channerwick burn and out to sea, in Channer Wick. A flock of about 20 sheep were washed away from one park.
The beach at Channerwick is mainly pebbles.
Near the beach there is ruins of an old chapel.
The Channerwick area includes the small settlements of Brune and Rompa.
