Chris Hodge Direct Ltd. operate a retail warehouse at Gremista, in the premises of the former Judane Knitwear factory.
Although planning permission was refused by the Shetland Islands Council planning department, on the grounds that the area wasn't zoned for retail, and that the development might have a detrimental effect on the town centre shops, the case was taken to appeal at the Scottish Office and permission for the development was granted on 3rd May 2007.
Chris Hodge Direct Ltd. sells a wide range of clothing, and household goods, and also has in in-store coffee shop which serves breakfasts, lunches, and teas.
