Fort Road on the north side of Harbour Street, gives access to a car park.
The most notable building on Fort Road is the bar called Mooney's Wake. The Irish themed pub was formerly called the Excelsior Bar.
On 21st December 2006 it was announced that Mooney's Wake and The North Star had been sold by J. W. Gray & Co. to the Hjaltland Housing Association
