The George Washington, a wooden hulled sail barque, Captain Daniels, registered in Salem, Massachusetts, U.S.A. While in passage from Danzig (now Gdansk), Poland and/or Hamburg, Germany (the available records are unclear) to Salem, Massachusetts, U.S.A. with a mixed cargo of brick, cotton and linen goods, glass/crystal goods wrecked in the East Voe of Quarff during dense fog on December 15th 1806.
Part of the cargo and other materials from the ship were saved, but were greatly plundered.
