Shetlopedia - The Shetland Encyclopaedia that anyone can edit
Gloup Voe, (HP503050), is an inlet at the north end of the island of Yell in Shetland.
On the east side of the voe is the settlement of Gloup which was home to many of the boats and men who were lost in a storm in 1881. A memorial to The Gloup Disaster stands above the voe.
Gloup Voe was one of many Haaf Stations, during the days of the Haaf Fishing.
The Enterprise drove from anchor and wrecked in the voe on October 19th 1793.
