History of the building

The building housed for many years General stores. On the photo top left, from around 1900, the sign says James Herculson. The building might have been rather new at that time.
Sometime later, (maybe 1930's ?), James G. Peterson founded what became Grantfield Stores. The second photo has a sign that says "Grantfield Provision Stores". The windows and doors in the shop area has been altered.
This company lasted until the early 1990's, when the premises was turned into a restaurant. It has been restaurants there ever since, but as we can see from the pictures below, the name and kind of food has changed several times.
