Haabet (1826)

The brig Haabet (alternatively Stabbet) of Stavanger, Norway, in passage from Riga, Latvia to Toulon, France with a cargo of wood (deals and staves) was wrecked on the island of Mousa, Sandwick on January 2nd 1826. There were no survivors and the vessel was a total loss.
The wreck and remains of the cargo were sold for £229 17s 6d.
