The Hertigen, a wooden hulled brig, registered in Christiansand, Norway, wrecked on Sheep Rock Fair Isle on December 14th 1876, and went to pieces with the loss of all hands.

This vessel was only identified when some time later the Master's sea-chest was washed ashore and recovered at Dunrossness.
