Editing on Shetlopedia couldn't be easier, just follow these simple steps:

1. Find the page you wish to edit

On Shetlopedia you can edit nearly every single page.

To find what you want simply enter the keyword into the search box along the left hand side of the screen. If the page you are looking for cannot be found, it might not have been created, if you would like to know how you can create pages on Shetlopedia, please read our help section on how to create pages on Shetlopedia

2. Click the edit button along the top Menu

Once you arrive on the page you wish to edit, look along the top of the page, you will notice a series of buttons: Article, Discussion, Edit, History and Watch. To edit the page, you have to click "edit" along the top. This changes the page to show the coding of the page, if you would like to learn more about which codes do what, please read out help section on Shetlopedia Codes.

3. Add your information

It really is as simple as that. Editing will allow you to add, remove and code at your hearts desire. At Shetlopedia we encourage you to contribute sensibily and to not reverse any of the good work that we are trying to do. If you do vandalise Shetlopedia, you will receive a temporary band, but if you repeat the vandalism, you will be banned, permanently. While we are aware that most would like to contribute positively, some feel the need to vandalise. If you find anything that has been added and you think should not be there, feel free to edit the page, or contact the Shetlopedia staff over on the forum

4. Click Submit and you're done!

Once you have completed your edit, scroll down the page and click the "Submit" button. This will automatically update the page with your new information on it.
