The Hrossey is 125m long, and had a capacity of 600 passangers when she like her "sister" Hjaltland was built by Aker Finnyards, Rauma, Finland in early 2002. Her name is the old Norse name of Orkney. She was the second of the two sister ships, and was delivered 6 weeks after. Both ships were brougth into service in the Aberdeen - Lerwick route October 1st 2002.
