Iho

The Iho (alternatively I. H. O.), a wooden hulled brig, Captain Dusing/Dossing, registered in Riga, Russia (now Latvia). While in passage, in ballast, from London, England to Riga, Russia (now Latvia), put in to Unst on her beam ends in a waterlogged condition on December 21st 1839. While anchored in the West Bight of Skaw, Unst she foundered and sank in approx 30 fathoms of water during a gale from the SSE on December 28th 1839, all of the crew were saved.
