The Jeany and Peggy (alternatively Jeany & Peggy), a brigantine laden with a mixed cargo of tallow, flax and iron goods, 16 L metres (keel), 112 tons gross, Captain Ayton, registered in either Dundee, Scotland or St. Andrews, Scotland.
While in passage from St Petersburg, Russia to Dundee, Scotland, this vessel wrecked on Scat Ness on December 21st 1794 with the loss of all aboard. The cargo was subsequently plundered, and attempts were made by John Watt, a merchant of Dundee, Scotland to recover same.
