Knab Road runs north from the Knab, to the mini roundabout at the junction with Church Road, Annsbrae Place, and Greenfield Place. Knab Road has junctions with Gressy Loan, and Lovers Loan, to the east, while to the west there are junctions with, Hjaltland Place, and Breiwick Road.
Shetland Coastguard headquarters is located on the highest point to the west of Knab Road, to the west of which is a small pitch and putt golf course. Knab Road was formerly called Bullet Loan, a reference to the firing range formerly situated at the Knab and to where Reservists were marched from Fort Charlotte for target practice.
