Lark (1858)

The Lark, a sloop engaged in the cod fishery, 11 L x 4 B Metres, 21 tons burthen/gross, built 1829, registered in Lerwick, Captain Henry. While heading for the West Voe of Sumburgh during a gale on May 19th 1858, the jibsheet of this vessel carried away, and she struck a rock and sank. All of the crew were saved.
It is unclear from the records whether she struck the Horse Holm, in the vicinity of Scat Ness, or on some other rock actually within the West Voe of Sumburgh, .
