Levenwick Hall

The Levenwick Hall is located to the west of the approx middle of Levenwick, next to the main Lerwick-Sumburgh road, and was formerly the Levenwick School, which closed down in 1969 with the opening of the Dunrossness Primary School to which children from the Levenwick area were transported by bus.

The former school was obtained by the community, and was converted in to the Levenwick Hall circa late 1970's/early 1980's. Prior to its opening there was no public hall in Levenwick other than the Mission Hall, which was intended for religious purposes only.
