Linga is a small elongated uninhabited island on the east coast of Yell, at the south end of Bluemull Sound, and just east of Gutcher from where the ro-ro ferries to Yell and Fetlar operate. There are ruined buildings on the island including the ruin of a chapel.
An unknown duke once planned to build a large house there after buying land on it. However this was cancelled as doctors and other services refused to provide a service to such a small remote island. The land is now owned by Charlie Henderson of Cullivoe.
The Jane wrecked on the isle on July 19th 1923.
