Loganair currently operate the scheduled flights, under franchise to British Airways, from Sumburgh Airport to Aberdeen, Kirkwall, Inverness, Glasgow, and Edinburgh. Flights, twice weekly to Bergen, also started operating for the summer months, on 6th June 2008.
Loganair, which was started in 1962 as a division of the Logan Construction Company, has been involved in Shetland aviation since 1970 when the inter-island service was established.
