Maverick

The Maverick, of Burra Isle, (built by Aas Skipsbyggeri A/S, Vestnes, Norway in 1980), a 48 grt, 21 metre long steel hulled motor fishing vessel, ran aground and subsequently sank just outside the South Harbour, Fair Isle on September 21st 1980, only two months after it was built. All crewmembers were saved but the vessel was a total loss.
