Mousa Sound, (HU450240), is the stretch of water separating the island of Mousa from the South Shetland Mainland, east of Sandwick.
During the summer months a passenger ferry operates across the sound for tourists visiting Mousa and the Mousa Broch.

In years gone by a popular sight was when the two P & O ferries met while passing through Mousa Sound each Sunday night. Sadly this practice, which always gave the passengers a good view of the scenery, was stopped on safety grounds.
