Muckle Holm is a small islet in the middle of Yell Sound about 3.5km east of Burra Voe, and the settlement of North Roe, in Northmavine.
The isle, which rises to a height of 23m is home to the Muckle Holm Lighthouse which was first lit in 1976.
The Morning Star sank at a position approx 0.9 - 1 mile NW of the holm while under tow for Toft on September 28th 1982.
