The Murrayfield (alternatively 'Morayfield', and formerly the 'Yolande' and the 'Ferdiborg') a British steel hulled steamship, built 1908, 49 L x 9 B metres, 576 gross tons, registered in Aberdeen, Scotland and in passage from Lerwick to the Tyne, England and/or Methil, Fife, Scotland. Ran aground in thick fog on the Peerie Bard, Mousa, Sandwick on April 7th 1942.
The boiler room was holed and flooded causing the crew to abandon ship, some four hours late she floated off on the flood tide and sank. The wreck lies in a maximum of 30 metres and there have been reports in the past of live ammunition scattered in the general area.
