The Pearl, a wooden hulled dandy, fishing vessel, 37 GRT or 38 net tons (records are conflicting), 18 L x 5 B metres, built 1887 or 1892 (records are conflicting) Lowestoft, Suffolk, England, registered Lerwick. While on a fishing trip out of Levenwick sank following being in collision with the Banff, Scotland fishing vessel Comet Star (BF16) on August 3rd 1908, all of the crew were saved.
Initially this incident was recorded as having taken place in or near St Magnus Bay, Hillswick, but subsequent information suggests it took place at an approx position between 5 miles SE of, and 0.5 miles S of Noness Head, Sandwick.
