The British steam freighter, S/S Polzella, (4751GRT),buillt in 1929, and owned by Thomas Bute Docks LTD.The 'Polzella' was sunk by the German Submarine U25, 6 - 7 nautical miles north of Muckle Flugga, on January 18th 1940. The whole crew of 37 lost their lives. The Norwegian cargo ship, D/S Enid, went for rescuing the crew, but none were found. The 'Enid' was torpedoed and sunk one hour after the 'Polzella', by the same submarine.
