Ingredients
- 2lb Joint of Reestit Mutton
- 2lb Tatties
- 2 medium sized carrots
- 1 medium swede
- 2 onions
- 1 cabbage (preferably Shetland kale)
Method
- Place joint of mutton in large pan with sufficient water to cover. Bring to boil and simmer for 2 - 3 hours until meat is tender.
- Remove meat from pan, skim off fat, and dilute stock if it is too salty.
- Dice vegetables and add to pan. Bring to boil and simmer until vegetables are tender.

Note:
- As many people will find Reestit Mutton Soup very salty, which is likely to induce thirst, a good supply of liquid refreshment should be available.
