The Aberdeen trawler River Lossie ran aground on Robbie Ramsay's Baa near the north entrance to Lerwick Harbour on the 27th March 1953. The crew were rescued by the Lerwick Lifeboat, "Lady Jane and Martha Ryland". After several weeks the wreck was blown up to prevent it becoming a danger to shipping.
