The Robert (formerly Skjoldborg, Ria Retzlaff & Rhenania), a steel hulled steamship, laden with 2050 tons of general cargo, one boiler, 105hp, 72.92 L x 10.87 B x 4.90 D metres, 1445 gross tons, built 1899 A. G. Oderwerke. Grabow, Germany, Owner Kjobenhavens Bunker-Kul-Depot A/S. Captain H. Sorensen, registered in Copenhagen, Denmark, and in passage from Gothenburg, Sweden to Hull, England.

This vessel was torpedoed without warning by the German submarine UC-76, and sank at a position approx 14 miles E of Fair Isle on April 17th 1917.
