Robert Walter Hunter

Robert Walter "Bobby" Hunter of Millburn, Burra was appointed Lord Lieutenant for Shetland, succeeding Sir John Scott KCVO upon his retirement November 30th, 2011.

After graduating from Strathclyde University, Hunter was employed in shipbuilding, fish processing and marine engineering and supplies. He retired in 2006.

Hunter and his wife Mabel have 3 children and numerous grandchildren.
