Shetlopedia - The Shetland Encyclopaedia that anyone can edit
This is a page for editing in anyway you want, other than spam. Feel free to try out anything acceptable.
I am not sure what you mean about submitting copyright information. I looked at you discussion item on the "Brighter Morn" just now. As it happens I bought the booklet Skeld Festival of the Seas. It states that John Garriock and partners bought the Brighter Morn in 1974 from John Peter Duncan and partners. It was subsequently sold in 1977.
The Shetland Times online has the following story:
"25 November 2005 Times Past
A welcome addition to the Shetland fishing fleet is the Aspire which arrived in Lerwick on Wednesday morning from Fraserburgh where she was built by James Noble.
The Aspire is owned jointly by Russel Smith of Burra and Robert Couper of Skeld and she comes as a replacement for skipper Smith's previous boat Brighter Morn which was lost off Bressay in January this year. Other members of the crew are John Couper, James Dalziel and Stewart Jamieson"
