Sandness War Memorial is erected in the kirkyard at St Margaret's Kirk in Sandness.
The front of the memorial has the inscription :
To the imperishable memory of those belonging to
and connected with this Parish who lost their lives
in the Great War 1914 - 1918

On three of the sides are listed the names of those who fell in the first World War.
At the rear side of the memorial are listed the names of those who fell in the second World War.
The base has the inscription :
Their Names Liveth For Evermore
