ShetlandDictionary.com is a sister site of Shetlopedia.com. ShetlandDictionary.com was registered on 26 May 2006 and the website was officially launched on 29th August 2006.
ShetlandDictionary.com hopes to record the modern Shetland language and share it online. Anyone can add words to the dictionary, which already contains over 1400 words. ShetlandDictionary.com are in the process of making recordings of the words and phrases from within its dictionary and uploading them to the website for everyone to hear.
