Smith & Harper
Smith & Harper, on the North Road, Lerwick, was part of the Bolts Shetland Ltd. group.
The shop sold a large range of kitchenware, cookware, china, glassware, cutlery, and related accessories, from manufacturers such as Denby and Le Creuset.
The shop also included the second largest toy shop in Shetland. Which was moved, in April 2009, to the Toll Clock Shopping Centre and renamed TollClock Toys.
Another major line of the Smith and Harper business was paint, which could be mixed to any colour or finish.
On 28th August 2009, Smith and Harper closed for business, with the remaining parts of the business transferring to the Toll Clock Shopping Centre where the kitchenware side of the business has been incorporated into a new business called Bolts homevision, along with, and in the premises occupied by the previously named Bolts Electrical.
