Smiths of Lerwick has two shops on Commercial Street. One which sells ladies fashion wear, and the other which sells lingerie.
The premises at 56 Commercial Street were occupied from the early 1920's by R W Williamson, who traded as a cycle and motor cycle dealer and photographer.
Bertie Goudie then occupied the premises as a barber shop until about 1960 when it became the office for John Leask & Sons, bus and taxi operators.
L & M Anderson were the proprietors from 1980 selling knitting materials and souvenirs until the premises were purchased by Smiths of Lerwick in 1992.
