Solotti's, (now Faerdie Maet), is a small cafe in Lerwick that was famous for its homemade ice-cream. Smoking was permitted in the cafe until 1993.
The surname Solotti (Italian) was present in Lerwick from 1846 (Peter Solotti) until the death of Margaret Solotti (Thomason) in 1960. The males were listed variously as Farmer, Cooper, Confectioner.
The last proprietor before the name change was Walter Robertson, originally from Whalsay.
