South Channel refers to the southern shipping lane in to Scalloway Harbour, to the south side of the Scalloway Islands. The channel runs between the islands of Oxna and Papa, and the northwest coast of Burra, then between Green Holm and Merry Holm, to the northwest of Trondra.
The other shipping lanes in to Scalloway are the Middle Channel and the North Channel, which is the main navigational channel.
