The Southern Air, a wooden fishing smack, 5 GRT, built 1883, owners R and T Henderson. Whillygarth, South Scousburgh, Captain H. Irvine. Six crew. While on a fishing trip from Dunrossness, sank at a position approx 6 miles SE of Voe, Dunrossness, following a collision with the Lerwick registered vessel Brucklay Castle, on July 24th 1890, and who herself suffered a similar fate 12 years later.
