At 250 feet X 36 feet beam and 1,601gt. she was the largest steamer in the fleet. She served on the Lerwick route until 1939 when she was requisitioned by the Admiralty and took part in the Norwegian Campaign until 1940.
For the rest of the war, in all-grey paintwork, she served on the Lerwick to Aberdeen route, during which time she was twice attacked by enemy aircraft.
After the war she returned to normal service on the Lerwick, Kirkwall, and Aberdeen route.
She was sold for scrap in 1960
