St Ninian's Isle is a small island off the west coast of Dunrossness, Mainland. On the island there are the remains of a small chapel. Below the entrance stone the famous St Ninian's Isle Treasure was hidden for some 1000 years. The St Ninian's Isle Tombolo, is the largest natural sand tombolo in the UK.

The Dunrossness Community Council with assistance from local groups and the SIC gained a 'Keep Scotland Beautiful Seaside Award' for the St Ninian's Isle Tombolo in 2007, the first such award made to a beach in any of the Scottish Islands.
