Suther Ness, (HU552654), is a small headland on the northwest coast of the island of Whalsay, connected to the island by a narrow isthmus which separates the South Voe of Brough from the Houb.
Near the south tip of the ness is the Suther Ness Lighthouse.

Suther Ness, on the right of the picture, with the South Voe of Brough in the centre. Top left, across Linga Sound, is the north end of West Linga, and top right is Wether Holm. The 2 small skerries which can be seen between them are Longa Skerry (left), and Swarta Skerry (right). In the far distance is the coast of the Shetland Mainland at Lunning, Vidlin.
