T. & J. Manson, a firm of publishers in Lerwick, established by the brothers Thomas Manson and James C. Manson, in 1885, responsible for the newspaper The Shetland News, the annual Manson's Shetland Almanac and Manson's Guide to Shetland.
The firm produced over 70 books prior to its demise in 1963, many of them handsome, collectable volumes which have lasted.
Key writers published by Mansons include Thomas Manson himself, James Stout Angus and Haldane Burgess. They also reprinted Samuel Hibbert's work, amongst others.
