I will make some enquiries about this, but, I'm almost certain that the club was formed as the Sandwick Boating And Swimming Club. Does anybody know any more????
If not I'll ring somebody from the current club and see what I can find out.


Good idea. I only found an advert for the booklet "Sailing at Sandwick: The Story of a Shetland Sailing Club 1896-1996" on a left over page of an old Shetland Times ;-)Islandhopper 10:38, 4 March 2007 (MST)

Don't know about Sandwick, but the Baltasound Club certainly has 'swimming' somewhere in it's title.Heimdal 13:12, 4 March 2007 (MST)
