just checked the spelling here, and it should be Aald Daa :(

Well it could be, and I believe right enough that Cavie used "Aald". But, I think Auld Rasmie might prefer "Auld".  ;-)
Both spellings are correct, as far as Shetland Dictionary goes.
We can easily rename the page to agree with authors spelling.

Just going by what his books are published under/catalogue listings etc, it is Aald - though Auld is perfectly correct in certain parishes :)

I understand Cavy has moved back to Shetland, bought what was Wibbie Gray's house at Aithsetter, but is not in the best of health.
